Natashinka and little Matthias are both doing extremely well.
Mommy went into labor Monday night, at 1am, her water broke and the contractions got very regular, so we went to the hospital. They admitted her and let her sleep the night. At around 5pm Tuesday, she was dilated fully and began to push. Unfortunately, Matthias' head was turned (he was sort of positioned with the left side of his head, just above the ear, to the cervix) and he was hopelessly stuck. So after 18 hours of labor and an hour of pushing very hard (which frustratingly, would have delivered him, if his presentation was correct) Natasha started a fever (infection was starting, because her water had been broken so long) and the baby's heart rate was really high and taking dips, where it would actually pause for a full second. So, at 6 pm Tuesday she went into surgery and after 18 hours of labor and about 10 minutes of C-section, Matthias was welcomed into the world.
