Downtown Kiev

Mommy, grandma and I visited downtown Kiev. They were looking at fancy buildings, but I had my bublik (bread ring, similar to a bagel). Yum!

Getting ready for bed

In the evening, it's time to get ready for bed. I talk to daddy on the phone (it's noon, back at home in San Jose), take a bath and put on my new robe while I dry off. Then, it's off to bed.

Visiting Kiev

The doggy on the chair with me is my new pal Sharik (a universal Russian name for street dogs).
Mommy, babushka (grandma) and I are nearing the end of our time here in Kiev. Soon we will go to Moscow and then daddy will join us. I've been practicing saying "dada". I can also say "mama" and "baba" (babushka).

Grandma is making sure that I'm eating enough to keep up with all of my activities, like playing in the local park. She plays 'choo-choo' with the box and it delivers me to the scales. She is very proud that she is helping me grow big and strong.

Half a world away

Mommy and I are in Kiev. I'm a little confused about why it is so dark outside, when I want to play. I talk to daddy on the phone and on mommy's computer. He tells me he misses us very much!

A day at Stanford

We took the bikes to Stanford University campus and had a family picnic.

We went to the Rodin garden and posed with the sculptures.
I had a lot of fun crawling in the grass.

Busy Week

I've begun climbing stairs and I'm getting really good at it!

Mommy gave daddy a heart-shaped balloon for Valentine's day. I'm not sure why, but it scared me at first and I hid my face from it for days. Then, I decided it was OK and now we're best of friends.

Daddy took the boat out of storage and got it ready for the season. I can't wait to ride on the water! I even wore my sailor's outfit and pretended to be captain on the high seas... Well, parked in the street, anyway.

Have I mentioned, I like to bounce? B is for Bounce. Oh, Auntie Kari... B is also for Bob!
