Today, we went to Red Square. We went daddy's first night here, but wanted to visit during the day. We toured Lennin's Mausoleum, and wandered the square, looking at all of the architecture.
Today was such beautiful weather, mommy and grandma just had to take me to the botanical garden of the Acadamy of Sciences of Ukraine. Which neighbors the Vydubychi Monastery (the green and gold domes behind us). This was also a rare opportunity to see the lilacs bloom, as they only put on such a big show, just a few weeks out of the whole year.
I am very social and love to walk around and meet new people. I tried to show this couple how to play with their bee, but they were happier just to sit and watch it spin. Silly people.
May 9th is Victory Day. A day many remember those who sacrificed so much.
As the years go by, fewer and fewer veterans return to Memorial Park. Here, a grand daughter visits, with a picture of her grandmother, who had been there only the year before.
