Kiev Botanical Gardens

Today was such beautiful weather, mommy and grandma just had to take me to the botanical garden of the Acadamy of Sciences of Ukraine. Which neighbors the Vydubychi Monastery (the green and gold domes behind us). This was also a rare opportunity to see the lilacs bloom, as they only put on such a big show, just a few weeks out of the whole year.

I am very social and love to walk around and meet new people. I tried to show this couple how to play with their bee, but they were happier just to sit and watch it spin. Silly people.

A day for remembering

May 9th is Victory Day. A day many remember those who sacrificed so much.

As the years go by, fewer and fewer veterans return to Memorial Park. Here, a grand daughter visits, with a picture of her grandmother, who had been there only the year before.

Easter Sunday

Here, Easter Sunday is April 27th. We visited the church across the street.

Grandma and I made Easter eggs and we had a yummy bread cake.

I had some, while mommy and I talked to daddy on the webcam.

Springtime in Kiev

Mommy, grandma and I went to the park, in the beautiful spring weather. It was my first time in the sandbox and I liked it a lot!

Downtown Kiev

Mommy, grandma and I visited downtown Kiev. They were looking at fancy buildings, but I had my bublik (bread ring, similar to a bagel). Yum!

Getting ready for bed

In the evening, it's time to get ready for bed. I talk to daddy on the phone (it's noon, back at home in San Jose), take a bath and put on my new robe while I dry off. Then, it's off to bed.
